Syria has only a single golf course and club in the country, called Golf & Country Club, but it is also one of the best designed and maintained courses in the Middle East. The club is located near Ebla Cham Palace, a five star luxury hotel outside of Damascus (the countries capital.) The hotel and course are located conveniently near the airport. If you need a place to stay, you will feel at home at the Ebla Cham Palace. The staff is excited to have you, and they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable.
The golf club includes a practice and training area where beginners can take a lesson from a trainer. The course is 18 holes and a par 72. There are four artificial lake hazards, and the fairways are lined by palm trees, fruit trees, olive trees and tons of other natural vegetation.
